Express your style and develop your voice in theatre arts through Northampton Community College’s Associate in Arts (AA) in Theatre program. On our Bethlehem campus, you’ll perform, design stages, direct shows and exercise all kinds of production skills in our two on-campus theatres or around the Lehigh Valley. NCC’s theatre major prepares you to kick-start your career or transfer to a BA theatre program at a four-year institution.

October 24th - October 27th

The Minutes is a political satire play by Tracy Letts that examines the inner workings of a city council meeting in the fictional town of Big Cherry. The play explores themes of hypocrisy, greed, ambition, and how we remember and pass along origin stories. It also asks the audience what they would do to avoid becoming history's losers

November 21st - November 25th 

Eight months after the accidental death of their 4-year-old son, Howie and Becca are trying to overcome their grief. He wants to hold on to everything that reminds him of Danny, while she would rather sell their home and make a fresh start. Cracks begin to appear in the relationship as Howie bonds with a member of his therapy group and Becca reaches out to a teenage boy with telling facial scars. Play by David Lindsay-Abaire

January 23rd - January 26th

POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive is a comedy play by Selina Fillinger about seven women who work in the White House and try to keep the president out of trouble after he creates a PR nightmare that turns into a global crisis. The play is set in the present day and features contemporary costumes and physical comedy. It's intended for mature audiences and contains strong language and adult themes.

February 27th - March 3rd

Sylvia is a play by A. R. Gurney. It premiered in 1995 off-Broadway. The subject is "Sylvia", a dog, the couple who adopts her, and the resultant comedy.

Putnam County Spelling Bee 2.jpg

April 10th - April 13th

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a musical comedy with music and lyrics by William Finn, with a book written by Rachel Sheinkin, conceived by Rebecca Feldman with additional material by Jay Reiss. The show centers on a fictional spelling bee set in a geographically ambiguous Putnam Valley Middle School. Six quirky adolescents compete in the Bee, run by three equally quirky grown-ups.
